Black Plastic Trim

Featured Replies

What are your thoughts? Does it look good or bad? Im constantly debating whether to do something with the trim on my L&K octy mk2. For example remove it or colour code it. Ive already put a chrome strip just above the trim hoping it would do something but im still not overly happy with it. You would have thought that being the top of the range model, Skoda would have colour coded the dam stuff.

Be different and keep it!

Megs detailer stuff brings mine up nice. Or, just get it painted glass black and u can wash and wax it along with the rest of the car.

but thats just it, i want to be different. how many silver mk2 octys have black trim and how many dont?

I prefer it as it is - no paint to touch up when it gets scuffed - that's what it is there for after all...

the problem is a lot of cheap, base model cars have this stuff and tbh, i dont want my car to look cheap, especially when its an L&K. Its not so much what other ppl think that bothers me but what i think every time i look it

If it bother you that much and your not bothered about what other think then why ask us what we think?

Sorry that wasn't meant to be stroppy just an observation.

To me if I was that bothered I might do something with it and paint it as on a silver car it does stick out (mines dark grey so less of an issue). The only thing then woud be getting them off might damage things and spraying them in-situ might not be as good as it could be and might then bother you even more...

I am spraying mine cadburys purple as soon as i am brave enough to get the things off :D Wouldnt colour code tho - too many around and i LURVE the darker bits on my silver furby.

I've got a VRS SE, and have been thinking about taking the black trim off the doors. Has anyone else done that? And if you have do you have any photographs please.

cheers
