depreciation

Featured Replies

got rid of our two fabias recently. yellow fabia sport (1.9 tdi) 08 plate with 11000 on the clock. black fabia 3 (1.9tdi) 08 plate with 5000 on the clock. both are now for sale at seat in hudds for 9995.

I see....

Well why would you get rid of two brand new cars? Surely you must have expected depriciation, a car loses most of its money when you drive off the forecourt.

oh yeah course, im complaining about it haha. just saying that both the cars were up for the same amount of money. cant remember the price difference from new? but i would have thought seat would have put the fabia 3 up for more than the sport. still badged up as a vrs lol.

Best way to avoid depreciation.... Buy bangers. Can't lose much when the car only cost £500 to start with :D

Lol. Or wait till someone like daveclayton decides to get rid of two brand new cars after just a few thousand miles and get a load knocked off the new list price!!

exactly lol. they are at seat hudds. wouldnt recomend going for my yellow one though, its got eibachs on the front still but standard on the backs. pimping or what haha

That could make for some "interesting" handling

Why would you just lower at the front and not the back?!!!

If anything surely you would lower at just the back (rally car style) so that the front is higher to clear bumps etc and then the rear is low down to stop body roll on the back etc.

Ah well.. suppose whoever gets it will only have half the car to lower! lol

i did lower the whole car lol, but tried to get the springs off when it came time to get rid of it. couldnt get the fronts off! skoda had duffed it up.... but yeah the big diesel lump on a lowered front end... not fun lol. if anyone on here buys it i still have the rear springs lol
