Best Winter wheels for the Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've been reading this forum with intrest and keep hearing about winter wheels and quite keen to get a set over the winter and keep my black powdercoated vRS alloys for the summer.

I'm just thinking of steelies but today I seen a set of porker wheels I like from the 944 (think KTP has these on his Fabia) and I'm quite tempted, I take it E-bay is the the best place to look??

Or what to do other people think, I don't really want to go to overboard with having started renting a house money will be a bit tight, so what do you recommend?

Many thanks

Davy

I think KTP is running D90's?? Stunning looking wheel but then you'll need adaptors to suit so the price is already going up.

Why not use the black wheels you have at the moment through winter then get the Porkers when summer arrives??

Ian:)

Why not just run the same wheels with good tyres that can cope with all seasons? :) I've used my evolos 24/7 for the past 3 or 4 years. In this country I don't think the concept of winter wheels is the same as in the Baltic states/deeper parts of Eastern Europe.

Some nice mirror polished D90's on edition38

wish I had the cash.

Not 100% on this, The reason winter tyres aren't the norm in the UK is down to the widespread use of salt on the roads during winter months, Never heard of any other Country/State that complains when the roads aren't gritted in good time for the prevailing conditions. The rest of Europe just whacks on the winter tyres and just gets on with it!
