Hi i was curious and wanted to know is there a difference in the shock absorbers between a standard non heavy duty skoda octavia 1.6/55kw and a Skoda octavia 1.6/74kw and is the same as the ones that are used in the VW golf?

According to data that I have the Classic has:

G12.....luxury suspension package - front - sedan

All the same the Ambiente has:

G12.....luxury suspension package - front - sedan

Thus apparently both are set up with the same suspension. Look in your owner's booklet. You shoud see 'G12' under the option codes.

The code is listed on a sticker inside the front cover of Service Schedule handbook and on a similar sticker on the boot floor under the carpet. If G12 is listed, the correct shock absorber part number is 1J0 413 031 S and the UK dealer list price is around
