Seems a bit steep but not too unreasonable at main dealer labour rates. The filter costs about £8.50 and the job is probably timed at 20 mins, with dealer rate of £80 per hour = c.£25; total £33.50.

Pretty easy to DIY; have a look at this thread, instructions in post #12 http://briskoda.net/octavia-ii/pollen-filter-service-interval-too-long/127642/

dont know the price, but its situated in the passenger footwell, under the glovebox, remove trim, 2 clips i think, slide cover off pollen filter and remove filter, 5 min job:)

If you ever come by my way ill happliy supply and fit one for a tenner.

About £5 for the filter from a main dealer and about 5 minutes to change it.

Under the glove box undo the two plastic screws visible looking up from the foot well, then drop down the foam sheet there and pull the black plastic locking tab to one side. This will drop with the pollen filter behind it.

Then change the pollen filter and put the cover back locking it by pushing it the other way. Push the foam back up and then do up the two plastic screws.

You're all done :)
