Hi everyone, new here so apologise if any are these are bone questions.

Once i've sold my mondeo I've persuaded the other half our lives would be much improved with a mk1 Vrs. Should hopefully be seriously looking at cars in the very near future. With that in mind...

Am I right in thinking cam belt needs changing every 60k miles (should this be marked in the service book?) and are there any other major jobs that need to be done at intervals?

Are the mk1's prone to any particular probs once they are 5-7 years old?

Anything I should look out for in particular when looking at a used mk1 vrs? (Obviously a test drive is a must)

Does it make any difference if the car is run on normal unleaded or the rich stuff?
