Fabia vRS headlight bulb help please!

Featured Replies

Done a search and cant seem to find the answer I need.

I need to replace the drivers side headlight as it was out when I got in the car home from work tonight :thumbdwn:

Do I need to go to the dealer as popped into Halfrauds on the way home and they dont stock then for a 56 plate. Am I right in thinking this is an H3 bulb?

I have been very impressed with the stock bulbs, but is it worth upgrading to something better/brighter and changing the pair? If so what and where from?

Also how easy to change them, or shall I just be lazy and to the dealer on Saturday morning!!

Cheers

Ryan

H7

And either Philip Xtreme's or Osram Nightbreakers:thumbup:

PITA to change but far from impossible

Yup, H7. Lidl are doing replacement H7s for £3.99 a pair. I picked up a set this morning as spares. :)

H7 are you sure? Sidelights are ok. Its the main headlight bulb I need to sort. Thanks!

dipped beam is definitely H7 - promise. Nearly 8 years of Fabia ownership has drummed this into me. ;)

yeh iv got philps xtreme they are good and yes i can notice a difference ! would suggest them as a replacment. and there easy to change pass side is a little footery however can be done with time and a cool head !

It's H7 or

D2S (If you've got OEM Xenons)

If you don't have headlight washers then it's absolutely, positively, definitely H7's

By 'main' do you mean 'dipped' beam the one that sits outboard next to the indicators

the big bulb?!

I think you'd best put a pic up. :)

or go to a dealer you will end up having flashing headlights and orange main beam , lol

Yep - H7 dipped beam bulb. Got us all confused when you said "main bulb" as the bulb on it's own to the right is the main beam bulb. Wasn't sure which one you meant. :D

all fitted ok, took 10 mins max. they are brighter for sure than the standard bulbs and seem pretty happy with them. havent dont too much out of town/A road driving since fitting though so haven't fully tested them yet.

i bought them locally but you could get them from powerbulbs.com
