anybody know the procedure for changing a 2001 fabias breakpads??

Pretty much like changing any brake pads.

Remove the wheel, remove the anti rattle clips, undo the 2 caliper slider bolts (7mm allen key needed IIRC), push the piston back into the caliper, remove the pads. Clean everything up with a wire brush, grease the back of the pads and reassemble in reverse order.
