The heater on my fabia will only work on position 4. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be Thanks

Hi - this should be moved to fabia 1 forum. But in answer to the Q, there is a resistor pack behind the dash with 1,2,3,4 on it which controls the speed. Your no.4 has probably died. The resistor packs are relatively inexpensive.

Your correct in whats wrong but the reason why is a little off ;)

The blower motors is fed by 12v, depending on which speed you have it on depends on how many resistors are added to the circuit to alter the fan speed. Speed setting 4 is direct without going through the resistor which is why when the unit fails you still get speed four.

That's why you you're a master tech. :rofl: I actually read the O.P's question wrong, I thought that only speed 4 was dead and 1,2,3 were working. I shall bow down to your greater knowledge ;):thumbup:
