Hi all, I have recently purchased a fabia sdi on a 54 plate. I could do with a couple of tips.

Firstly I need a good oil recommending for this car, I know a litttle bit about petrol cars but this is my first diesel and I am just looking for a general all purpose oil to top up with for now until the next change then replace whatevers in the thing with a good product which is ideal for 80% motorway usage. the car has already covered 60000 miles so is well worn in.

Secondly, I keep finding the driver window is playing up a bit, if I use the one touch feature to try and open/close the window fully, it sometimes seems to get confused and is prone to doing its own thing despite my manic button presses. I also own a vw bora and this does it too, is it just a VAG thing or is it some kind of godforsaken safety feature just in case I get my head trapped in the window again??? I'm always doing that.... The daft thing is that it makes you take your eye off the road while you're faffing about trying to shut it, Meanwhile you have become yet another Polish Lorry Drivers hood ornament as you're coming out of the dartford toll crossing booth playing silly buggers with your window button

Safe huh... Any ideas on either of these topics would be really useful to me folks, sorry about the rant, I do that sometimes.... Thanking you in advance...

try a search for one touch setting, probably oil as well
