Since myself and few other are looking for new wheels,i would like to know what width alloy people would chose and why?

I'm looking at TD pro race 1.2 in satin black as these seem to be a good choice for a lightweight wheel.

I'm planning on sticking to 17" but not sure which width to choose.

The alloys with only be put on over the summer and will have a sticky rubber applied to them.

Please bear in mind i will be running 225 45 tyres.:thumbup:

7.5" is stated as standard for 225/45 tyres.

8" should stretch the sidewalls out a bit and stiffen them up, so I'd go for them personally.

The 205/50 tyre standard rim width is 6.5", so Skoda stretch the tyres out slightly as standard on the 7" wide wheels.

I vote 8" since you have already chosen your tyre size.
