Toyo Proxes TR1 or 32R

Featured Replies

Was going to get 2 TR1's fitted but the garage said they could fit Toyo proxes 32R for the same price and that they are a better tyre. Does anybody know much about this tyre as can't find much on it.

thanks

Think someone's got their wires crossed with that tyre. Theres the new Toyo PX4 which they may have meant?

The new Toyo is apparently better in the wet, but not as good as the T1R in the dry. This is off my tyre bloke, not personal experience. He does know his tyres though. :)

I've just got 4 of the new Proxes 4.

I've only done 300 miles on them and very little in the dry but they seem quieter than the T1-Rs.

I get the feeling they're going to be fine - if that helps!

The tyre fitters I go to stated that all the 'boy racers' go for T1-r due to the excellent grip but they wear down super quick apparently.

The other fitter at the same place really rated the Eagle F1's?

12,000 on my T1-Rs

I once worked for Goodyear and I thought then that they were quality - the T1-Rs have a lip which protects your alloy rim so that swung it for me - plan to try F1s for my next set.

I've had better wear from T1-Rs than F1 GSD-3s. And they're nearly £20 a corner cheaper in 205/45/16. A no-brainer from me.

I ran PX4s on a set of wheels and found them to be good, didn't own the wheels very long though! I'm sticking with T1-Rs for as long as they're available as I have heard the same as Dave above. But I don't think I need a tyre to be any better than the T1-R is in the wet, and appreciate their ability in the dry :)
