anyone every had sparks out of there exhaust?

not out my vrs not, out my highly modded hyundai coupe, but that was more flames

no i mean sparks lol i could see them in my mirrors lol scary but cool

Is this in a diesel or petrol?

Ive seen a few diesels where the baffels in the exhaust break up and come out of the exhaust glowing.

Or other modified diesels where the heat is causing the soot to glow red hot.

There was a video of a fabia posed up here a while ago with this happning.

I've seen that in cars where the catalytic converter is collapsing in on itself, but then you can't get full throttle (a Merc c-class with this problem could only be driven on quarter throttle :eek:) because of the exhaust restriction, just sparks, spluttering, farting and general crapness!

Does yours still rev and accelerate as normal?

That video really doesnt look that good, after a quick run on a rolling road the intake temp can soar up to 100 degrees let alone running it for that long...

yeah my car runs perfect its just at high speeds it does it

Ed Butlers old PD130 Sport Ibiza used to do this, he always said if he had been granny driving for awhile round town (couple of weeks) then took it for a mad blast down the motorway his would spark out of the back, its just clearing out the exhaust His is still running perfectly fine after 1,000's and 1,000's of miles.

Mine will do it but i would have to be in 6th at high RPM to get it. Just build up of heat and clearing out the crap If anything it looks cool :P.

my car was doing this last night in 6th gear i dont think it isnt nothing to worry about as mine is map and the car was on full boost for a little while

Does anyone fancy logging intake temperature on vag com when this happens?
