mk1 pre facelift octy, fitting 2002 L&K dash?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I may be getting a 110tdi '2000my, but with a dead instrument panel.

I could have it fixed, but the car is lowline dash - ie there is no central graphical display and if you want to look at the computer (i do all the time) you can't see the clock, and it's rather small.

In my L&K post facelift, I love the mid line dash with it's bright computer readout/outside temp/ice service warnings etc all nice and bright in the middle and the clock stays where it is.

I can find lots of thrads of putting highline (ful height - sat nav/radio display) dashes in Golfs and needing to swap the whole convenience module etc - right load of work.

~But - I can't find out if I can (obviously with the appropriate coding - I have vag tacho and vcds) put the L&K instrument mid line panel in the mk1 octavia. Can anyone hazard a guess?

Would it help if I posted the part numbers from my convenience ecu?

I have a L&K instrument panel available to buy and it's the diesel one, so made me think.

Thoughts appreciated,

Greg.
