Quinten's gas guzzler

Featured Replies

Although to be fair, the CO2 output is lower than my previous car ;)

It's a Citroen C-Crosser 2.2HDI Code, does I don't care mpg, goes from 0-60 in slow secs, and is rather versatile with a 5+2 seating arrangement :D

Better pictures will follow

Isn't the C-Crosser basically a Mitsubishi Outlander?

I havent seen these before, but I quite like it

Looks a sensible/practical car and very nicely styled for a 4x4

Look forward to some more pics

Cheers

Damian

I actually quite like the styling of that, not seen one before :)

2.2 HDI is not going to be that bad on fuel is it? :)

Haven't managed to sneak a photo shoot in today as I had to endure the 1st Christmas shopping session :tired:

The C-Crosser is the same as an Outlander and a Pug 4007 apart from the cosmetics. Got massively raped over the p/x (the same everywhere) but got a great discount on a 2 year PCH, so all in all quite happy to see the back of the Signum, before I had to pour a lot of money into keeping that running.

No more road tax, maintenance and depreciation worries :woohoo:

I must be really lucky as I actually got a pretty good trade in price for my Focus.. more than they were being advertised for sale privately.

"On average it returned 29.2mpg on test with a best of 39.6mpg."

Good looking car:). Should be pretty reliable too, regardless of what the doubters say. I wouldn’t mind one.

Thanks guys (and girls). I really hate these dark and gloomy days cos all I want to do is wash it, polish it, and then take it off-road again! ;)

My little Sedici isn’t as posh or as advanced, but I took it off road a few days ago to see what it can do, and it was pretty good, even on road tyres. I am thinking of getting some Winter Vredestiens or Avons for improved traction though. What tyres does it run on Q?

  • Author

Uhm... I did make a mental note this morning to check them out, but all I know they are 18"s and they are Michelins :sofahide:

I had a look at M+S tyres (no gags pleeeease) but Winter tyres look the business. Only problem, they wear rather quickly above 7C, so I could be diving all over the road in order to find cold water or snow patches to keep the tyres cool.:D

You must be a bit further oop norf, cos all we get down here is rain, no snow :(

Winter tyres are very good in the wet and on cold surfaces (quite a bit better than standard all weather road tyres apparently), something to do with Silica stuff etc.
