Tried to order a Blue Flame catback system, but when I mentioned it was for the estate, Nigel said I would need to take the car to them, as the system is different and they don't do it off the shelf :-( Now, this is pretty much out of the question, as I live in Gloucestershire and I'm flat out busy at the mo.

Can someone shed some light on the differences between the saloon and estate exhausts? I've looked on vagcat, but there is no info about the vRS exhausts.

This is really frustrating!

i personally didnt think there was a difference, i read somewhere that someone fitted a miltek system to an estate that was originally off a hatch, and it actually fitted better, the only difference is the rear bumper is different on the estate to the hatch but unsure as to if it is longer or what? worst case i would buy the blueflame get somewhere to fit it, and maybe they might have to extend the tailpipe, that would be worst case, every other fitting will be the same, i.e centre box,over axle, backbox etc

Looking on all the tuning websites, all the MK1 vRS exhausts seem to be the same- none specify 'saloon only' or 'estate only'. I'm a bit puzzled.

Where can I find out the dimensions of the standard exhaust? Will have to call Nigel on Monday...

Just checked the part numbers on Eurocarparts, and they are the same...

Anyone got the Skoda part numbers?

they only list one for the engine code by the looks of it, doesnt specify estate or hatch, just a revised part from a certain chassis code, heres a pic with the part nos,

No difference between the two exhausts. I think the 4x4 is different though.

I can definitely confirm they are the same - I have Neo's old Blueflame turbo back exhaust on my estate!!!!!!

The estate is a whole 6mm longer overall. Exhausts are identical.
