Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I was doing a bit of work behind the glovebox on my octy rs combi and the glovebox light mechanism fell apart. Can someone put up a pic so I can reconstruct it?

thanks

Hi bpm. Did you ever solve the reconstruction issue? I've just done exactly the same thing in my Fabia and after an hour I still can't work out how to get it back together...

Yup, got it sorted in the end. In fact I used those pics on uk-mkivs.net to figure out how the spring goes. You need a very steady hand and its the biggest pain in getting it back in. Took me about 30 minutes of constant playing to get it working. The hardest part is getting the whole unit back together with the spring in the correct position

absolutly mad the design of that lamp holder!

I pity anyone who removes a working lamp unit thinking it wasn't working :o

Yep i removed a working one..... thought it was busted just didn't realise at the time it only worked if headlights are on :o
