Not sure if these are sold seperately but here goes, can anyone tell me the part no's for the following?

1. Screw / clip for engine cover (I snapped one at the weekend )

2. Fixing / locating clips for the mats - I asked at a Seat dealership last Friday but they umm-ed and aaah-ed and said they probably wouldn't be able to get them without the mats etc. etc. :thumbdwn:

If I can't get them from a dealer I'll try a scrappy but the ones near me don't tend to have newer (as in last 8 years) cars

Funny you should ask that. One of mine went missing a while ago and I managed to spring a a second one out the other day and it disappeared never to be seen again!

Have found two part numbers for the locking spigot for the engine cover, N 908 011 01 or 06A 129 792. Looks like the second partnumber is for a slightly longer clip.

For the clips for the mats try 1U0 864 812 or 1U0 864 812 A.

Ordered mine (N 908 011 01) - $2.50 each including GST so in the UK they should be around a quid I guess.

I ordered my engine cover screws no probs... the mat fixing clips were another story!

first off they said they usually only supply them with the mats, so I gave them the part number and they put it into the system to see if they could order the part seperately, no joy, apparently they couldn't find that part number.

They then asked what car it was and started searching via that, then I told them it didn't have vRS mats but generic black Octavia mats off of ebay. They said they had several part numbers that could be correct, but that they would need to see the holes on my mats to decide which parts to order... I then pointed out my mats have no holes and I would be making the holes myself so what did it matter

The upshot is when I go in to pick up the engine cover screws tomorrow I am taking the only surviving mat clip I have to show them so they can get a match... what a palaver!
