noise?

Featured Replies

my felly has developed a rattling noise when its cold coming from the gear box, i put a new clutch in and renewed the timing chain less than 8000miles ago, it sounded like the timing chain did but then when i looked closer it is coming from the gearbox i changed the oil before and it cured it, but its back any ideas? also my felly has been misfiring past few mornings when she starts up?

Mine used to have a rattling noise - that was the clutch plate. This still happened even after I had my clutch done. Did you have the clutch plate changed when you did the clutch?

You say you changed the clutch. Did you change the pressure plate and release bearing or just the friction plate?

i got a kit off for £80 it was release bearing, pressure plate and friction plate was a full sache replacement kit. :/

Hi,

My felly has the same issue the last few days when it has been really cold I have noticed it, it also feels like the clutch is slipping but once the car is warm (5 mins of driving) its ok or even today when its not that cold its not an issue could it be just be the cold weather and nothing to worry about.

My felly is a s reg, 60,000 1.3L

Check that the spring, on the pedal (pulling a nominal force on the cable and keeping the clutch fork in contact with the release bearing) hasnt broken
