Fabia aircon flow speed.

Featured Replies

Anyone elses car do it?

Aircon on yesterday..FULL on fan mode 'cus it was hot. Stopped, engaged reverse....and the fan went even faster!

Back into first and it went back to normal!

Not a big problem I hope, but just a bit curious?

Are you sure it went faster, and didn't just make extra noise as it went into "recirc" mode so you didn't suck in all the dirty diesel fumes you were reversing through? :)

I've just tried it again and it sounds as though it is in fact going into recirc mode!

The recirc mode light doesn't come on though, speed is the same however.

Flicked it into recirc mode and the speed of the fan stayed the same, but the light did come on.

If this is the case, have I just discovered another clever little facility courtesy of vag?

Anti choke mode! Does it do it on the petrol Skodas too?

Quite amazing if so, that the fan is linked to the gearbox!

Believe it's a VAG group feature - same as getting the single wipe of the rear screen when you put it in reverse and have the wipers on :)

Mine doesn't do it, nor the rear wiper, but that might be a spec/age thing...

Possibly also a VAG-COM option......... :)

Yep its recirc does it even with aircon off! Plays havoc with misting the glass up on a damp day when I'm doing lots of manourves!!!!!
