Cambelt Change

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Ive just checked the service history on the VRS ive bought and last belt change was at 69000miles and cars now done 99,000

Wondering if i should change it to be on the safe side?

Read the thread about belt changes etc and i reckon itss good for a bit longer?

Anyone know any good specialists in london? west preferably

It's got at least another 30k to go. Of course if you are unsure if the water pump was changed or the tensioners, you could (if you have the cash spare) have it all done.

Had mine done last February, Frank really makes a proper job of it, he also fitted an all metal water pump. Independant VAG garage:-

Frank L. Follett Motors Ltd. Rainbow Garage, North Orbital Road, St Albans, Herts, AL4 ONF,

The most pessimistic figure I've ever seen is 40_000 miles or 4 years, whichever's sooner.
