QG1 to QG2 or 0?

Featured Replies

I'm currently sat on a QG1 variable service schedule. I'm thinking 20k is far too long for the journeys i do so come service time I'm going to start servicing myself (no pun intended ;)) every 10k.

Thing is do i let it roll over from QG1 to QG2 or do i get it changed to QG0?

Is it something that can be done with a VAG COM or should it be done via a dealers so all the stickers in the service book, boot etc updated?

We dont run QG2 as far as I know in the UK.

You could service it at 10k intervals yourself and leave it on QG1 settings and leave the service light alone.

This will just push the variable servicing to its 18600 max limit.

I can apparently reset the service light via the car or a VAG COM, so my question is providing i keep an eye and a log of everything surely i'm fine keeping it on QG1, servicing every 10k/Year and resetting the service light every 2?

According to the Haynes manual if you reset via the key and you're on QG1 it reverts to QG2?

It reverts to QG0 which is fixed.

If your doing you own servicing every 10k then reset it by the buttons.
