WSC Lookup

Featured Replies

Can't find anything on this with a search- does anyone know if there's a way to look up WSC codes and find what dealer they relate to?

There is no public database.

That's a shame. Is it something we could try to do here?

It might be argued that they are confidential and/or for internal use only.

Suppose so. I just thought it might be a useful way of knowing some history of a car, beyond the routine services.

WSCs are not really a true way to track a cars past, if one really wants that then you'd be better off looking into the real car history which the dealers have access to but then that would definitely be confidential. :)

Yeah. Just curious really, as the WSC in theory shows the last workshop to have worked on a module, doesn't it? I know VCDS does a stealth thing, but the dealer tools don't.

The dealer number is also on the official dealers stamp. If when you buy parts and there is a picking slip on them, it is there as well.

I though that, but it didn't match up with my service book for the Fabia or Leon.

Keep in mind most control modules never get touched by the dealers, therefor they all come with the factory WSC.
