Don't pussyfoot about - tell him straight what you think!

I'm trying too save him the heart-ache of buying it, fitting it and posting photos on here and everyone ripping him and his bodykit to pieces.

I belive I am using whats called "tough love".

Ah, so you're doing it for his sake :D

I am indeed Rob.

I belive I have a duty too.

:)

But at the end of the day if thats what Shreadings89 wants todo and likes the look of it, then it shouldn't matter what people say.

I know, I'm only toying with his emotions, and just thinking of the blowback from such a move.

To the OP.........You do it if you want mate, don't listen too me, what do I know. :D

lol

the octy doesnt need anything on it. Seat LCR splitter on front done correctly and a rear defisor, and pos soeme small side sckirts to bring it into line with the front bumper. thats about it.

imho

but like has been said, tis up to you.

I hate the look of the max power style kits.

degrades the car imo, too much like the chavs drivin there sitroen saxo all beefed up.

I've been looking for some sideskirts for some time, but most look too chavy or square. I hate the way the front bumper is lower & I also hate seeing the lower sills.

Yeah the lower sills are ugly as feck! They need hiding!

Especially when your car looks mint apart from some mis-shapen sill flanges hanging from the underside like some manky old flaps!

But then again, if you cover the sills, how will you use the car jack in the boot to lift the car in an emergency?

I thought of that too. I bought some aftermarket RS2000 sideskirts when I had my mk6 escort si & I made cut outs & covers like the originals. So depending on what skirts you buy & if they cover the sill, I bet It wouldn't be too hard to do the same.

dont worry about looking after my feelings guys

i just want the car to be different

I'm surprised nobody has gone all-out and worked out a widebody kit of some type.. assuming they haven't, of course. I think the MK1 would potentially look awesome with RS style cologne arches, but that's just because I'm a child of the 70s and remember lusting over Escorts and Capris :)

Might 'shop one of those later if I have the time..

look on cardomain

there is a silver one on there

No, it would look crap like the 1970's Fords. :thumbdwn:
