I have bought a remote central locking system (not original), that I would like to use in my Felicia mark I LX 1,6 Estate.

My car alredy got central locking, but not with remote.

I have no manual for the car, and i dont know if I sould replace the original control box, or if I can tag the remote controled unit to the original box/ wirering.

If i can tag it on, then I would belive that I should use the dash switch wires on the new unit, and some how conecte them to the original box/wires?

Hope sombody out there can help my.

If the control unit and remote locking feature are in one single box, the best approach is probably to replace the original unit. If the remote controlled box is separate it should have 2 wires that control locking, a lock and an unlock wire.

Under the dash near the radio, there is a plug thet has all the feeds and earths for the central locking. IIRC when two of the pins are earthed, they lock and unlock the doors. So if your remote kit has two outputs, that become earth when operated, connect them to the plug and the c/l should work

I bought one of these aftermarket jobs sometime back for my other car that I had.

I'll have to have a look and find it now!
