Service at Main stealers

Featured Replies

You all probably remember the issue I had Robert Eardley Skoda, Stoke-on-Trent and my battery at the beginning of the year ..... if you cant remember, the battery packed up, Id owned the car for 6 months having bought it from them with 5k on the clock and when they came to replace the naff battery found it was a non standard one and charged me £100 for a new one, even though they supplied me with the car with the naff one

..... anyway.....

took the car to them for a service yesterday ( 23,000 on it now ). Got a phone call to say it could do with wipers....OK says me, put some on please. I go to fetch the car and on the job sheet reads " F/N/S cv boot about to split" I say to chap on reception " has it gone, do I need a new one " he says " it says on here ABOUT to split and " we havent got any in stock anyways" so I jump in the car and drive 3 miles to my friend the tyre fitters and get them to take a quick look ....... suprise suprise the CV boot HAS ALREADY split, which if I'm not mistaken is an MOT failure and Eardleys seem happy to allow a car out from their garage with this defect....... needless to say:

1. Robber Eardleys can naff off now, I will be using an independant

2. My cars booked in elsewhere for the CV boot next week

Oh yes, my service cost £233!!!

REant over, I feel better, thanks for listening!!

Worth putting this in the dealer reviews section instead :)

And phoning skoda to complain a dealer let you out with the car like that.

Also, speak to Robert himself at the Crewe dealership and see what he has to say.
