Heated rear screen not working & flap motors

Featured Replies

1.4 TDI - 80 bhp.

My heated rear screen is not working, the switch illuminates OK, the fuse is OK, however when the switch is ON it sounds as though air is being diverted inside the car Heater Unit and within 5 minutes the whole car is misted up.

I know these are totally different operations but something is connecting them together, has anybody any bright ideas.

The car is still in warranty but the garage is a 30 mile round trip, obviously if it's something simple I can sort it myself.

Any help most appreciated.

Mr Mogwye.

Could be wrong here, but I 'think' when you turn on the heated rear window, the heater goes into non-recirculation mode. Other than that, if the fuse is OK, and the window element isn't bust, then wiring problem I would think.

Damn right - my demister isn't working either, but everything else is. I think a contact has fallen out behind the trim in the boot lid. :)
