Hi Briskoda people!

I've decided to join this forum because I'm a bit of a car forum addict and I'm going to be helping my girlfriend by a car in the new year and we've decided to try to find a nice little Fabia.

Why Fabia? Well, I'm from a very Skoda-friendly family, my father owned many Skodas and is about to trade his Superb in for another superb new Superb... Ahem.... When I was a kid I thought his Skoda rapid was the coolest thing on four wheel, but then I was always a bit of an odd kid.... But mostly because I love how well made and well designed VAG group cars are (I've got a 180k mile Passat which is still far too good to replace) and muggins here will be responsible for most of the servicing and repair work and I want an easy life. We'd look at Polos, but Fabias seem just as good, are prettier and seem to be much better value. We'll probably be looking for a 1.4 early Fabia with AC in a light shade of blue (she's very fussy about what she wants!) and welcome any advice about buying one.

As well as liking VAG cars I'm an MX-5 fanatic and spend most of my spare time tinkering with and driving my turbocharged red Mk1.

Hello and welcome

The early Fabias came in Stone Grey metallic from about 02 onwards, before that they didn't have a light grey colour just Diamond Silver.
