Is anti-hijack available on all Fabia Mk1's with central locking?

Featured Replies

Morning all

A friend of mine has taken her Fabia Mk1 to the dealers to have the anti-hijack feature turned on, but they have told her it's not possible

I don't know much about the car other than it's an 03 plate 1.4 tdi and it has central locking.

I'm going to have a go with vag-com, but I would like to try to avoid looking like a numpty if possible. My first thought is that it may have manual windows, in which case the anti-hijack settings will come under 'central locking' rather than 'central convenience'... Does this sound like a viable possibility? The same dealer was able to activate the anti-hijack feature on a Superb just a week or so before, so they do know about it. :P

Thanks

Phil

I'm not 100% sure it is on all but it's simple enough to have a look.

Remember on the Fabia it is an adaptation channel not coding.

Fabia-vrs.com - Coding Options

I reckon they could be right, given the 'keep fit' windows - since there are inputs like speed to take into account, it could be something that the boggo central locking unit can't handle so is a central convenience job only...

I ran through the same procedure on SWMBO's 06 Fabia vRS as I did on my 04 mk1 Octi although used a different coding on the fabia due to it having 4 power doors and 2 power windws. The only thing we've noticed is if you want to keep selective unlocking when approaching the car the auto unlock feature when removing the key from the ignition will again only unlock the drivers door.

See this thread for coding options depending on number of power windows Clicky

Hope this helps

Many thanks guys.

Got it done today. Was straight forward, as described on your site, Stu.

Dealer must be a numpty.

Thanks again

Phil

Dealer must be a numpty.

In truth they really don't have the interest Phil.

I suppose it made you look a genious though :D
