Central Locking Problem

Featured Replies

I have recently purchased a Fabia I 1.9 TDi Elegance (2001), and withing a few weeks the central locking packed up totally. Started with the fobs not working, got them re-programmed at a Skoda dealer, and within an hour of that the whole central locking system had shut down! Now only the drivers door will lock and unlock, and the passenger side doors are both permanently unlocked, and the rear door on drivers side is permanently locked!

I took this back to the dealer I bought it from, under warranty (3 weeks ago!) and haven't seen it since. They have since passed this on to their local Skoda dealer (about 60 miles away from me in Plymouth), and nobody has any idea whats wrong. I assumed this was covered under their warranty, and now they've informed me that the warranty only covers repairs up to £300  Its looking like its going to be more than that, but I'll fight them and see try and get them to sort it, I've had nothing but trouble since I bought the car!

The CCU has apparently been changed and made no difference, does anybody have any ideas what else it could be? The garages dont seem to have a clue!!

Try a search on central locking problems, you will pass an hour or so quite easily.
