vRS Lowering - Speed Bumps

Featured Replies

ive bought myself a vRS as a more sensible grown up car from what i had before, however i am finding the handling a bit 'floaty' lol

im not gonna go the coilover route, but i would like to bring it down an inch or 2, but, i MUST be able to clear speed bumps easily and i dont want a crashy ride

what brands of lowering springs have people fitted, and have you ever scraped over a speed bump ???

im on the standard 16" wheels and it will probably stay that way for quite a while

I'm on weitec springs and the car is lowered about 20-25mil but still looks lower than it should and I have no problems hitting speedbumps, you really want to go slower over them than your used to.

You have a few options

Weitec Spring & Damper (Made by KW)

KW Spring & Damper

Eibach Springs on standard dampers

There are bound to be more choices but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Same here mate, in my parents area they have one length of street which over the space of seven years has had speedbumps of varying heights installed, the only problem I have is people park on top of them so you can't go over the middle of them resulting in a bumpy ride.
