Shutter from 1st Gear

Featured Replies

hi,

I'm fairly new to driving a Skoda TDI, especially being from Australia and it being a relatively new car here but I have a problem. I have this shutter from the 1st gear, and when the car is loaded or the air conditioning is on it seems to get worse. I've taken it back to the Skoda dealer and have mentioned there is no problem, however have acknowledged this is a problem. I'm not sure what to do, and in this actually a problem. The shutter doesn't reappear in any gears and just occurs off stop/start. Any suggestions?

I presume you mean a 'shudder'? Do a search, there's a recent ECU upgrade available to at least partially cure this (I'm assuming you have the PD engine not the new common rail).
