Foot Rests?

Having just got my 170DSG Elegance I am surprised not to have rear foot rests, somewhere I read about these, Does anyone else have them, or am I dreaming?

I asked my dealer the same question when I collected my elegance a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently they are now an accessory you have to buy.

Although they appear in the main catalogue on skoda-auto.com, they have always been regarded as an accessory - but are (or were) not mentioned as such in any of the accessory lists or brochures. You might ask just how they would ever expect to sell any then.

I asked about these during the previews in July and at that time they were priced at £60 the pair.

I was told that they're "not UK specification," but was not told they could be supplied as an extra. Is that really so? Can they be retro-fitted by the dealer?

I think that 'not part of UK Specification' sometimes means I haven't heard of it before and haven't a clue.

My understanding was that they were loose - which is perhaps what would make sense anyway. If in doubt you could post on the Mk1 forum and ask as I believe the '100 Edition' came with them as standard.
