Bypass surgery on window cont.

After finding wire shorted in door loom found pin missing in window cont. box cut open to gain access to pin from inside bypassed..

all works ok. now, was thinking about leaving the access hole open for moist to get out so its not trapped in there, what do you guys think will it make it worse or will it not make any difference, was also thinking about silicon cover, any comments..
