Excel formula help

Featured Replies

Hi all. I'm after some help with an Excel spreadsheet for work. I have a chart with 28 questions and they can be answered R or G (red or green). At the moment the score is make as a % but giving equal wieght to all questions. I would like to make each score have a different value (i.e. question1 is more important than question 28) and then give a % score for all 28 questions. Hope this makes sense?

Try the attached....

Its a spreadsheet but I had to zip it as the forum software won't allow xls files to be attached.

You need to change the scores for each question (column B) to whatever you want, and then change the formula in Column D to give the score for correct answers. The formula is an IF function, curently set so that it gives a score for the answer G (Green) in each case. Replace the G in the formula with an R if Red is the correct answer for a particular question.
