Newbie needs help

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm a fabia owner who resides far far away in the far east .......in a little island called Singapore. I own a fab 1.4 8v manual and am at my wits end trying to source a clutch pressure plate for me car.

Have tried from JHM Butt but it appears they are a little ex...... 110 pounds !!! The normal clutch plate from what i understand is only 35 pounds !!

Would appreciate any help in procuring this part .......FYI the P/N is 036 141 025 P

Cheers

:p

Ahoj,

Whats the problem with sourcing this part locally ?

If you are still having difficulties but you could try "S4 Imports" at www.skodaparts.ukf.net

I don't know if they will be able to help you but they do offer very good support/stock for older Skoda's.

Good luck...

Iberparts in Spain will send Skoda parts worldwide (at a cost). Contact them here.

Thanks for the site .......as for support for Skoda...there is only 1 sole importer here in Singapore & for obvious economic reasons they DO NOT carry parts for our cars here. They will only do so when when is demand. Can u imagine they do NOT carry any Clutch parts at all ?? They think nothingcan go wrong with the car. Granted that the clutch dun fail everyday......but when in such a situation like mine where the previous owner doesnt know how to drive......i'm screwed !!! Me car's been in the workshop for 1 month already......thats why I'm asking for help here.........I got a quote from JHM Butt & they wanted a hundred quid for that silly part......and this mind u is without shipping !!! I know i'm desperate but I'm not that desperate. A normal clutch plate only costs abt 35 quid........!!

I phoned my local dealer about the part. He needs to know the model year and engine number to confirm the correct clutch pressure plate part number. However he confirmed that part number 036 141 025P is for a 16V Fabia with engine numbers AUA or BBY. The price is

Ahoj,

No problem, I know they are very good for older Skoda's (both stock and price) but didn't know if they carried Fabia parts.

I just guessed it might be worth a try - sorry if it was a waste of time.

Good luck with your quest and if I can think of anything else, I'll shout.
