are there any plans to introduce the DSG transmission on the petrol engines

There is a link to a pdf with new specs and it shows dsg on the Petrol vrs TFSI

The DSG will come with the 1.8Tsi from the facelift release in January although to start with only in L&K trim.

This is the new 7 speed 'dry clutch' DSG box which is more efficient than the present 6 speed box but I have fears over its longevity mated to an engine producing as much torque as the 1.8Tsi.

You can order the Octavia L&K with DSG with the 1.8TSi engine and you can also order the Octavia vRS TFSi with DSG now.
