Rattle Rattle Rattle

Featured Replies

Hiya Guys,

Had a quick search but couldnt come up with what i was looking for,

the problem i have is a dashboard creak / rattle on the drivers side bit of the dash by the switch for the lights, i have a 04 vRS if it makes a difference,

From what i have found is the rattle stops if i keep pressure on the switch plate then after i take the pressue off it comes back minutes later, and when you do put pressure on the plate it does creak a bit

what i'm wondering is it the clips on the back of the light switch plate!!! or some torx screws loose on the dash, help as it has been driving me bonkers for 2 weeks now, :thumbdwn:

do i need a new plate or new torx screws

any help would be much much appreciated

Thanks

Rob

i've got used to mine rattling from that area , i've padded the trims out with sticky foam , still noisy

just a thought , when the rattle occurs , try pressing the ticket holder/A-pillar trim on the windscreen , these can rattle and sound like the noise is from the switch panel

same here!

its less of a rattle more of a vibrating

very annoying
