Hi this is my first post but i have browsed briskoda for a while and thought id join in.

Just traded my fabia vrs limited edition(no 289) in at telfords in carlisle for an octavia vrs tfsi.

I think the dealer had the fabia sold as soon as i bought the octavia,but anybody still chasing after one can maybe try there as there could be a chance the deal fell through.I know they are desirable.

It was a great car,very punchy and economical,but just needed the space so traded up to octavia.

Impressed with octavia so far,seems unfluttered over bumpy back roads and engine is very flexible and still punchy,so dont miss for the fabias in gear punch that much.I know economy wont be as good as the fabia,but still return 37mpg in general mix road driving and 30mpg when i feel like a few swift overtaking manuveres.

No problems so far.The auto wipers seemed to be erratic at first,having a mind of thier own,but seems to have sorted itself out.If anyone knows why this could have been or if they have had similar problems let me know.

Auto wipers are just funny in their operation. Have had them on my last four cars and every set has worked great at times, then they are crap, dont think it is a fault or that there is anything can be done about it (but maybe I am wrong lol)

You seem to be getting great economy, or are those figures you hope to get?
