Does anyone know if its possible to self repair the climate fan motor ?

From the right side of my dashboard i have this "click click" sound and at the dealership they told me they tried to update the climate fan motor software but with out luck.

Then they told me i need a new motor for that climate fan and that should be around 1000 Euro's !!

If its that expensive i'll live with the click sound, but just thougt maybe someone in here had an idea to solve it otherwise then by the dealer...

I get this too all the time, it's never bothered me tbh, and I hadn't even thought it might be something that needs replacing. Oh well, mine's due for replacment next March, so I'll live with it for now

Sounds like the flap motor for the air recirculation, dash out job hence the price.

Sounds pretty expensive. Are they actually going to change the whole motor or just the flap? The flap is much more cheaper and shouldn't cost you more than 300 - 400 euros max. Including work.

Like Lummox wrote, the dash needs to be partly dismantled, but I still don't believe it will cost 1000 euros just to change the recirculation flap.

The whole motor might cost that. 600 - 700 euros for the motor and another 200 euros for the job, maybe?
