Is this the UK brochure with information on the equipment with each level of trim or simply a paper version of the 'generic' Skoda-auto literature that has been available for a few weeks?

So far I've had the car price list and have been guessing what original equipment will come with each trim level in an effort to 'price up' my car. The German Skoda site has all the info but of course the level of OE will be different to the UK!

PaulL&K1.9Oct - I think you might find that there would be a copyright infringment! Get some exercise and pop down to your local dealer - they're not used to seeing people at the moment

It's the proper brochure - full UK spec and prices. I could scan it and put it up if you want, but is it legal to reproduce it like that, before it's even showing on the skoda website?!

Edit: First big surprise is that the Amundsen stereo (or whatever it's called) is nowhere to be seen, even in the options list. It's Bolero or Columbus - that's yer lot.

Excellent, I'll see if my local dealer has one - I wouldn't recommend scanning, normally copyright material, but a huge thanks anyway.

Sorry, it was just a light-hearted comment, but I'm desperate to get the new brochure, lol

better watch the letterbox me thinks

Well, I've just priced up my Octy - with the equipment I want I'd have to go with the L&K but really do not want the 17" wheels. Having added the Columbus the cost is (only!) roughly £800 pounds shy of the 1.8Tsi Superb Elegance which has the same equipment . I'll be interesting to see what offers Skoda come up with.

Frustrated to see that with the electric drivers seat that the passenger doesn't come with electrics too, the upgraded sound system is not available and neither are heated rear seats. Whether I'd want all those is another matter but it's good to see a manufacturer deciding want the UK market wants by restricting what is available to our European friends :finger: At least Bolero is standard from SE up for those that want it I guess!

Are they offering the new Octavia in an L&K spec? I thought I'd read that they were mimicking the New Superb's trim levels and just offering an S, an SE and an Elegance?

Good Man!!!

That settles that then, I'll have another L&K model in Black Magic Pearl effect with the Black Alcantara leather please... exactly the same as my current one!! lol:D

It doesn't mention the Amundsen, but if you look at the photo of the L&K interior, it has the Amundsen (3 knobs). So an option Skoda UK have decided not to offer?

Paul, sorry to slightly nick the thread but how do you find the 17" wheels on the L&K for comfort over rough surfaces? I was looking to go the Elegance route with 16" wheels and add options but financially It would be better to go for the L&K - my concern being any noticeable loss of ride quality with the lower profile tyres fitted to the 17" wheels? Last thing I want is a jiggy ride.

I remember emailing Skoda UK and asking for one when the Octy II first came out. Needless to say it never appeared, so I won't be holding my breath this time either

My L&K is on 16" and I've never had a car on 17" yet, but having read that it has just sprung to mind that I've read somewhere before about people being unhappy with 17" wheels. Do they make That much difference? I do around 30K miles a year, so this could be an issue... ?

Whats the verdict on 18" wheels? Are they even worse or do they overcome the 'jiggy' problem at this size?

Cheers

Paul

PS, Sorry for the thread hi-jack Guinness

I think they did the same thing with the current Octavia brochure - one of the pictures shows a head unit that you can't get in the UK. It's a bit lazy of them I think, not to do region-specific photos.

Just downloaded the brochure, i was planning on getting another Elegance but with the Lux pack this time, but no sign of it in the latest brochure...bugger the company won't stretch to the L&K

Didn't realise AFS was available on the facelift Octy, and paddleshift is now available on the DSG boxes including the vRS!

I noticed the technical spec section of the brochure includes info and weights for the 1.4 TSI with DSG, listing it as available with all specs, although this is not available (yet?) in the UK. I wonder if this is just an oversight or an indication of a change of plan after the brochure text was created:confused:?

Interestingly, in the same section, the 1.8 TSI DSG is listed as available with L&K only, just as in the price list.
