5 Litre Washer Bottle.........?

Featured Replies

With all the cArp on the roads at this time of year I am increasingly frustrated by the small capacity of the Roomster washer bottle (2litres approx).

Having completed THIS modification on my Fabia I got round to thinking could the same be done on the Roomster.

The question being do any of the models (Fabia II or Roomster) come with headlight washers and therfore a larger capacity washer bottle? :rubchin:

Failing that would the 5litre washer bottle used for the fabia fit the roomster anyway?

FII and Roomsters with headlight washers has big (5.5 liter) water tank. The others (models without headlight washers ) has 2 liters of tank.

It is written in manual that Roomster has 5.5 or 2 liter water tanks...

Does it fit this 4.6 liter model?

Not looked in the user manual, just looked it up on ETKA and that lists either a 2ltr or 4.6ltr bottles, would be worth just having a quick boogle to see how much space is in there but can't see why you couldn't fit the large tank.

Well it's going to come down to the economics of it and also the CIBA factor which is very important to consider when the weather is like it is ATM

If you want a bad car for keeping a screen clear, try a mk4 mondeo.

Today I ate through a litre of stuff, having to squirt every few seconds at one point this morning! I blame the windscreen angle.

Did a 100mile journey to see some reletives and ran out of washer fluid about 5 miles from them. Only top it up a couple of days ago.

left my washer fluid at home, so had to pop to there local Skoda Garage (Pillings MK ) to buy some more.

Strange thing is the parts guy typed my name into his computor and bought up my address  clever as i have nether bought anything there before.

What's wrong with some forecourt/halfords stuff? Did they sting you much for that?

Skoda was nearer than Halfords, cost was £3.16 for a ltr.

A few pence more than my local dealer, but i do get discount there ;)

Problem is with some stuff is it can technically void the warranty as the fan jets are only supposed to be used with a certain spec of fluid.

Morrisons garages sell one shot bottles of the VW approved stuff which are handy for leaving in the car if you get caught

The stuff beginning with D that most forecourts sell? (I forget the name)

Decasol or something like that, not the devils fuel silly ;)

Decasol? Havent seen it in a while but the stuff in Morrisons is bright orange and it's a quid a throw
