Poor Radio Reception?

Featured Replies

I've read a few posts on here about poor radio reception, and there is some talk that either replacing the aerial or trying a different brand can solve it.

I have held whichever buttons it is to see if the signal is any good, and it appears to be ok. Problem is I can't seem to get many stations when I scan, the ones I can get are fine, but I've been able to get more stations than this in other cars I have driven.

I can get most of the national stations, but the local ones don't seem to be found when I do the auto scanning thing. Does the aerial really need replacing, or do I need to tune them manually? The car is only 3 years old, so I'd be ****ed if I am replacing this every 3 years, I'll just put up with Radio One. :)

I have noticed your radio picked up fewer stations, I would suspect there is a loose connection on your aerial but I hardly think it's a 3 year thing, more likely to have been squashed by someone being fathanded putting stuff on the roof rails (the aerial can be loosened off and folded flat but I suspect someone just rammed something on top of it and let if flex down)
