Geometry Question

Featured Replies

I had the alignment done on my octy mk1 vrs the other day and it came out perfect, but the guy doing it said the rear wheels were out that is going to cause un even tire wear.

The car has recently been lowered to 30mm and a whiteline rarb fitted, obviously there isnt adjustment on the rear.

The guy blamed it on the lowering, but i can remember that the rear tires were uneven everytime i have changed tires/ before the lowering happened.

I have owned the car from new, and its never been hit.

The only other thing i can think on is that a wheel bearing that was making noise in germany but not now could be causing it. No play really in the wheel and it only does it on really even surfaces.

Any ideas????

Have a look at this ..........

Mines all over the shop as well, there not much you can do about it tbh.

I dont notice any odd rear tyre wear if I'm honest other than a little ridge running round the outer edge of the tyre.

I think i read somewhere that its a fault with the octavia's mk1 and is now ok with mk2

Not sure if i dreamt that though

Fixed beam back axle....can be moved slightly, but only to try and equalise the settings.

Mine is slighty out too, like fatty500 says only slight wear on outer edge of nsr tyre. Mine was out before i lowered it, but may have increased abit with the lowering. I think you can use shims to try and equalise each side.
