Got a new "company car"

Featured Replies

As our trusty Vovo XC70 is still at the Volvo shop after I rearranged the front end a few weeks ago; we have been blessed with one of the brand new workshop spares - a fully liveried and kitted out Octavia vRS diesel estate.

I have to say, going to work at the moment is an absolute pleasure - covered 140 odd miles on nights last week and exactly 120 miles today on a day shift.

Roll on the 16-03 shift on New Years Eve... Wooooooo Hoooooooo!!!!!!

should add we picked it up Christmas Eve with 22 miles on it. I handed it to the late shift today with 1802 miles...

Out of interest John ............Is it tweaked in any way ???

No mate, absolutely 100% standard - might even be downspecced... (are they supposed to have manual rear windows, 'cos ours has!)

Still good for 135 (true speed) on the M27 Christmas Eve night...

and I LOVE it...

Obviously not got the Jumbo Pak of Jumbo box, dual zone climate and rear leccy windows then.

Enjoy and try not to crash this one.............

it wasn't really a crash...more of a parking scrape. But the blue fend off light on the front bumper got caught on the bollard that jumped out while I was reversing, resulting in the front corner of the bumper cracking, breaking the clips and cracking the headlight too. oops!

It'll seem a real come down when you get he 'tank' back then John.

eek ... briskoda member is policeman and driving on the m27 ... i'd better slow down then ;-)

Some people get all the luck

One of our MkII vRS's got written off in a pursuit the other week, a massive loss, seeing as the force now buys 2.0 Diesel 4x4's, apparently the carbon fecking footprint is more important than response times... we've still got one MkII vRS left, it is treated with much respect.
