Alpine IVA-D105R/106R to replace standard stereo

Featured Replies

I've got an Alpine IVA-D106R single DIN DVD player with ipod connection lead from my previous vehicle, and would like to fit in my Octavia in place of the standard Stream stereo.

Has anyone out there fitted a 105R/106R into their Octavia, and, if so, was there plenty of room for the wiring to fit behind it.

I have the wiring loom already (it's the same as for the Touran), and know I will need to buy a facia adapter plate (available on ebay from £15 upwards including p&p).

If anyone is able to offer any assistance I would be extremely grateful.

(nb - the Alpine IVA-D106R touch screen DVD player is one of the most brilliant gadgets you can have - direct touch screen ipod controls, and a DVD/ipod video player when you are sat out in the car waiting for the kids)
