thermostat housing

Featured Replies

hi all i own a x reg 1.3 mpi felicia estate and are having problems with the temp gauge, am i right in believing that a new housing comes with the sender attached, i've looked at mine and it appears to have a unit coming out of the top of the housing with wires and also one at the bottomthat is attached to a flat plate

Not sure about your year model, mine looks like this Skoda Felicia 1.3 Mpi Thermostat-BRAND NEW on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 09-Jan-09 11:01:12 GMT)

I got it from Ebay which is the best place for Skoda spares.

I doesn't come with the temp sensor that is separate and can be got from the same place if you need one, the one fitted should plug straight back into it.

If your temp gauge hardly moves then trust the stat to may be have broken inside the housing, also the housing has broken lugs inside that hold the stat. It's a very common problem, solved with fitting the above part, and as I said maybe also the temp sensor.

i bought one from a skoda main dealer and the temp sensor came with it cost about £45 if i remember right.and it was the complete unit so you dont have to scavenge any parts from your old one

That is correct , if you get it from the dealer you get the temp sensor with it

So may be worth in the long run going to a dealer

I got one last week for a Felicia and yes approx £45
