warning lights

Featured Replies

Right then, here goes. Car is 1.8 4x4.

Had the car put through a diagnostic check as engine management light came on. Came back as code p0102 (MAF sensor), code 17705 (hose connection) and 17544 (fuel pressure). I was told that it was probably a MAF problem. Since then the abs light came on and after reading up a little on here i thought that this may be a result of the MAF problem. Not been to concerned.

Had the MAF sensor changed today and the car does run better to be honest. The guy told me that due to the faulty MAF the lambda sensor may have been damaged and if the light comes on again, this is what will be causing it. I was hoping that the problem would be cured. I asked about the abs light and was told that the diagnostic check had found code 01279 (G-force sensor). This is a sensor under the seat which detects movements during a crash.

After an hour or so in the car, all the lights came back on again. Garage closed for a couple of days now. Bit gutted. Any advice that will cheer me up?

Thanks for reading.

I understand the issues with the pipes etc having spent ages reading up non 17705 and 17544 codes. Two questions i need answers to now.

1) Does the Lambda sensor have its own fault code?

If so then i'll be able to tell if it needs replacing. When i take it back to the garage, if the same codes are there then it wont be the lambda sensor it'll be pipes etc.

2)What is the code 01279?

Cant find anything about it. This is the one thats puzzling me to be honest.

Thanks very much. Have a good night tonight.
