I have taken a gamble and just bought an octavia mk1 mirror to replace my damaged fabia one.

The mirrors look identical and its the right colour paint.

I couldn't find any information to say they are definately the same.

The only information I could find was that the glass was the same.

Does anyone know for definate?

The Cap should be compatible, Cant be sure the mounts will be though.

If you strip your existing mirror and use parts off the Octy you should get by.

There is a chance the glass will be slightly different, But a modification should be possible. I've got Golf IV glass which required minor modification but works well and looks better.

Its just the mirror cap I need to use.

Mine has a rather large crack in it!

What was the outcome of this? Did you find out what parts were interchangeable?

I haven't had a chance to fit it yet.

I have stripped the octavia mirror though for the casing.

I'm pretty sure the plastic casing is identical but I don't think any other parts would be interchangeable.
