Facelift?

Featured Replies

I see it wrapped up in Xmas paper on the Website, but no word to WHEN its here. Your got to feel for Skoda here, they stuck with loads of pre facelifted models. One thing good, it seems the 1.8 TSI will be coming with a 7 speed DSG box!

seen one at the back of the dealer today :) looked ok.... bit of a boring spec tho. think it was just an se.

Anyone knows when are they going to start taking orders for facelifted model?

i think that was one thats been sold already!

I sat in a facelifted Octavia at Caffyns today, some very nice improvements around the car, the nasty B pillar trim has been altered to plastic instead of that horrid fabric crap and nice touches like the power folding mirrors and updated climate control and touch screen stereo. The parking sensors are now much more discreet too.

Also, isn't every model pre facelift until the facelift comes out

I see Vauxhall are also sticking with the pre facelift Insignia at the moment, shame on them

I wonder if the TSI would grip as hard as a vRS?

I honesty think if marketed well the TSI DSG would be a great seller for Skoda as a sort of sub vRS.

I went to my dealer to ask and they said they don't take orders yet, only sell stock pre-facelifted. Somebody even said on this forum that orders are to be placed only at autumn, but I doubt it would be that far.

The UK are already taking orders, if you want a new octavia thats not a vRS and a factory order then you will get a facelift because the old one is no longer being made. If you order a new one thats in the UK now, then it will be an old one.

So I guess ours will be taking orders soon.

If you go to the build your own section of the Skoda UK website, you can spec up a facelift Octavia.

two dealers near me have been taking orders since jan 1st

Was at my dealer for a service today. They had a facelifted model in. Inside looked nice, outside looked a bit like the Fabia from the front.

They say the fully facelifted vRS will be available in July, with pictures likely to be available in April (ish!). Can't wait to see it.

Ordered my Facelift model here in Ireland in December, picked it up on January 2nd. The dealers here began taking orders as soon as the Facelift model was announced.

As theres more of an incentive to buy diesel cars here since the changes in road tax, there are plenty of pre-facelift petrol models on dealer forecourts, but only a few diesel models.

I'm so pleased Skoda did something right for you Mike. DSG eh. I knew these crazy manual 'boxes would never catch on.

I can't find out, it DSG a good idea if you want to put at upgraded chip (obd tuning) in the engine? I had heard that the DSG not to happy about tuning?

It's available at some dealers now: I've had a brief drive of the 1.4TSI SE :thumbup:which I'll briefly review when I get a minute! (very impressive engine on the whole)

Unfortunately the 1.8 TSI will only be available with DSG in L&K spec which seems a mistake to me. However the 1.4TSI will be available with DSG in all S, SE and Elegance from February.

I wondered about this too. I can see people wanting to tune/chip the 1.4 TSI (and with DSG) as it's such good value compared to some of the bigger engines, and being available with lower specs.

Is the 1.4 TSI realistically chippable, and how would that effect the DSG?

I wouldn't be shocked to see Skoda do a Sub vRS model based on the 1.8 TSI DSG
